Giulio Greco was born in Caselle in Pittari (SA) in 1949. Now he lives and works in the Cilento and in Tuscany.
He got his diploma at the Art Institute of Salerno,thenhe attended a courseof Afro Basaldella and Vinicio Berti at the Academy of belle Arti in Firenze.
He was a member of “La Piramide”, a Gruppo Sperimentale di Ricerca Estetica, where he met Carmelo Genovese.
In 1976 he founded the Centro di arti visive “ipotesi”in Fucecchio working with some artists.
It is in the 70's that he had one-man art exibitions like: GADA, Galleria Axa Firenze;Azienda Autonoma di Soggiorno e Turismo di Salerno; Galleria dei sogni di Pisa;International Art Gallery

Since 1982 he has been a member of Circolo del Pestival, giving rise to an important collaboration with artists and intellectuals.He takes part in Ratem e altre storie, Palazzo Turi, Santa Croce sull'arno;Le Arti del Cuoio, Villa pacchiani; L'immagine/lavori in corso, Cascina (PI); Viaggianti individualità at the Gallery Leonardo Arte in Roma and Pistoia; Navigazioni, Galleria della Bezuga in Firenze.
From 1983 to 1989 he lived in the Cilento, where he devoted himself to the anthropological research of his land, and this influenced his works.
In 1988 he was invited to the review Homo Ludens at the Palazzo Paolina in Viareggio.
Since 1989 he has permanently at the galleria Poleschi in Lucca, and at the editions of Arte Fiera in Bologna, Siac in Firenze, Biaf in Barcellona(Spain), Arte in Padova, and soon; in the same year he had a one-man exibition at Palazzo Pretorio in Fucecchio.
In 1990 one-man exibition La più Bella Galleria d'Italia, at the Fortezza da Basso in Firenze,then he carried out two important commissions for the città del futuro (Arte Galtarossa) in Padova.
In 1992 he took part in the review Mardeserto to open the Centro Attività espressive of villa Pacchiani, pavia where later he will have a one-mane exibition.
In 1992 he had a one-mane exibition at the Compagnia del Disegno in Milano; in 1994 at the Modula Arte in Parma; in 1995 Studio Gennai in Pisa; in 1996 with the collaboration Spirale Arte in Milano galleria il Platano in Asti;La Chiara via di Francesco Modula Arte in Parma; Angeli, Casatorre degli stipendari in San miniato (PI); Arthiene, Thiene (Vicenza).

In 1992 he carried out the scene-painting for Assassino, speranza delle donne; at the Festival of Santarcangelo di Romagna, directed by Andrea Mancini.
In 1994 with Mancini again he carried out the scenery for Chiara, Ortolana e Agnese,in 1996for the Icona at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, (stage scene background) for the scene painting of Claudio Cinelli.
In 1996 he also carried out the scene-painting for le Trèsor de la nuit, at La citè de la musique in Paris, directed by Claudio Cinelli; and then testoriana, three performances derived from three works of Giovanni Testori (Factum Est, Interrogatorio a Maria, Il fabbricone):
